Bio Sculpture has always advocated health, product safety, and transparency regarding labeling practices and ingredients. To date, Bio Sculpture Gel is the only Nail Product in the world to have participated in a large Clinical Research Study conducted by the independent research organization Parexel International. In 2004 Bio Sculpture was awarded a Five Star Safety Rating – the highest rating available. Clinical trial and 5 Star Safety rating was awarded to Bio Sculpture Base Gel, Soft Gel and a selection of Bio Sculpture Colours Gels.

Bio Sculpture Base Gel is our very first base gel, formerly known as Clear Gel (developed in 1988). This product is the foundation of our line and has received a 5-star safety rating and won numerous global awards over the years. Its unmatched quality is evident in its smooth application, long-lasting wear, and easy removal, which reveals healthy nails. Additionally, for those with HEMA sensitivities, Base Gel is HEMA-free.

Nail Plate Analysis is the process where the nail technician evaluates the client’s nails to determine the best course of action.

The main difference lies in the method of application. Evo Colours are in a brush-in-a-bottle format, while Bio Gel colours are in pots and are applied with a separate brush. The Bio Gel colours are slightly thicker than Evo colours because the colour pigments are mixed with Base Gel. Both Bio and Evo colours can be used interchangeably over Bio and Evo bases.

Bio Sculpture and Evo Gel can last for 3 or more weeks without chipping. The Bases from both lines are pure gel formulas. The main difference between Bio Sculpture and Evo Gel is the application method. Some people prefer using a pot and brush, while others prefer a bottle and brush. We love using both methods!

The main difference between Evo Natural White and Bio Sculpture Free Edge Gel is the method of application. Both are specifically designed for lengthening using the sculpting method with a paper form to achieve a natural nail look.

All of our gel products can be removed with acetone. Our gel remover is designed to be gentler on natural nails and doesn't cause dehydration like pure acetone.

SPS is a Special Prep Solution, mostly used to increase product adhesion on nails that tend to shed nail enhancements. However, this acid-free solution may be used on all nails to maintain a healthy moisture balance and assist in easier gel removal, leaving a healthy natural nail.

There are a few ways you can speed up  the soak-off process: 

1. Ensure you are using a 80-100 grit file to break through the top layers of gel or use the Whisper E-file to easily remove the top layers of gel
2. Put Almond Oil on the nails before wrapping with gel remover and foil
3. Heat helps aid in the gel releasing from the nail plate
4. Use Vitamin Dose on the nails after removing foils before gently scraping the product away 

All artificial nail coatings contain acrylic ingredients that undergo curing initiated by a UV source or a chemical chain reaction. The acrylic family of chemicals can be subdivided into categories including acrylates and methacrylates, and they are used in a wide variety of everyday products. Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) has been banned in the USA since 1972 due to allergenic and odor concerns, but the closely related Ethyl Methacrylate is considered safe. Bio Sculpture products conform to the strict cosmetic directives of the European Union.

Formaldehyde is an ingredient in some nail hardeners and nail polishes, but is generally not found in curable nail products. It may be listed on the product label as formaldehyde orformalin. BioGel, Evo, Ethos and Gemini are formaldehyde-free.

Mixing brand systems can be dangerous due to uncured gel sitting on the nail between layers of cured gel. Brands only test their products in their own lamp and can only guarantee a thorough cure when the same branded lamp and gel is used together. Uncured gel can cause reactions so we do not suggest you mix brands.

Yes, all EVO colours can be applied onto any bio bases. Remember to refine the base before applying any evo colour for best results. 

HP Gels require a 60-second cure in our Ultra or Ultra Lite Lamps. It is important to ensure correct hand placement. HP gels are designed to be applied very thinly.

Always apply Evo Colour Gel to a wiped and refined base layer. This will ensure optimum longevity and a smooth finish. Use thin layers and cure for 30 seconds between each colour gel coat. Always finish with our EVO Gloss Gel and cure for 30 seconds – remember to wait 30 seconds before wiping this layer for a super shiny finish.

Although Elim always tries to use an alternative natural active, this product is not registered under Natural or Organic Products. It is a Medical Pedicure and the Peel should be treated like any other Chemical Peel.

Sodium and Potassium Hydroxide. It is an alkaline solution and therefore necessary to neutralize the skin after application.

Yes, all Elim products are safe for Diabetics. Only clients suffering from Psoriasis, Eczema on the feet or using Accutane should not use the Callus Removal Tonic. The Elim MediHeel pedicure can even be adapted to a dry pedicure if required.

Only avoid the Callus Removal Tonic when cracks are bleeding. All other products are safe. You may also choose to protect the crack with petroleum jelly as a barrier during the pedicure service

There should be no sensation, when using any of the Elim products. 

As this is a chemical and the pH of the product is high, you need to wear gloves to protect your hands. Elim USA-Canada offers Eco-Responsible alternatives such as biodegradable nitrile gloves.

Do not apply water immediately, but rather wash the feet with the neutralizer and keep this on for 2 minutes before ringing with water.

Wrapping the heels in clingwrap will help to intensify the process and secure the gauze in place. Elim USA-Canada offers Eco-Responsible alternatives such as compostable barrier film.

Between 10 - 15 minutes

MediHand was specifically designed as a system to address issues in current offerings. The range was designed with UV Blockers, anti-aging and anti-pigmentation actives. It is not just a feel good product range, but a scientifically designed system to help reverse pigmentation and aging.

We recommend that you use it like you use toothpaste on a toothbrush, daily to cleanse and whiten your nails. Brushed nails are stronger, cleaner and healthier.

Sodium Hypochloride and natural papain enzyme.

Bicarbonate of Soda was used to create granules. This doubles up as an exfoliator and a pH neutralizer to the skin.

The Ultra Rich Hand Therapy is a hydrating cream that restores moisture to your skin. It brightens your skin and helps to fight the signs of aging on your hands. It's for the person that does not have age/sun spots, but that wants to prevent pre-mature aging or deal with lines and wrinkles on the hands. The Age Reversal Hand Cream is a treatment cream that helps reverse the signs of aging  on your hands and it helps to eliminate dark spots and the appearance of wrinkles and creates an even skin tone. It's for the person that already has sun damaged skin, to improve the overall look of the skin to a more youthful appearance.

We used 22 ingredients, the most important being Bearberry & Niacinamide for skin lightening.

It should not. Ask your representative to break down your costing and show you how you can offer an anti-aging manicure for less. We also recommend that you stipulate on your menu that you offer the MediHand manicure.

The Age Reversal Hand Cream contains an SPF of 30. The Ultra Rich and Hydro-Thermal Exfoliant contain UV blockers.

Apart from being an antioxidant and anti-fungal for your nails, it has strong whitening effects and will leave the nail looking like it just had a French manicure. It also helps to remove stains from your nails and fingers, for example smoking stains.  Its contains hydrating agents to leave the nails and fingers healthy and hydrated. We encourage daily nail brushing with the Illuminating Nail Cleanser. 

The combination of the Hydro-Thermal Exfoliant and the Age Reversal Hand Cream significantly diminishes darks spots on your hands.

Treatment times will vary based on the client’s consultation. A MediHeel Pedicure can be performed in 60 minutes (including a short massage and polish application).
